New Career & College Promise Pathways for Guilford County Schools Students

Guilford Technical Community College’s Career & College Promise (CCP) program allows qualified high school students to take tuition-free college courses that lead to real credentials — and real careers. 


These pathways are designed specifically for students in Guilford County Schools and allow qualified high school students to take classes together as a GCS cohort, learning and growing alongside their peers. 


GTCC offers five exciting pathways that help you explore your interests, gain hands-on experience, and earn career credentials that prepare you for success in college and beyond.

Pharmacy Technician Pathway (High Point Campus)

Prepare for a healthcare career supporting pharmacists in hospitals, clinics, and retail pharmacies. Estimated starting salary: $41,000 annually.

Mechatronics Engineering Technology Pathway (Jamestown Campus)

Learn how to design, build, and troubleshoot the smart machines that power modern industry. Estimated starting salary: $49,000 annually.

Fire Academy Pathway (Jamestown Campus)

Train for a high-impact career protecting your community through firefighting and emergency response. Estimated starting salary: $52,000 annually.

Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer Pathway (Aviation Campus)

Build a foundation in advanced manufacturing and precision design that leads to aerospace engineering careers. Estimated starting salary: $58,000 annually.

Aviation Manufacturing Quick Careers Pathway (Aviation Campus)

Get hands-on experience assembling and repairing aircraft structures and composites for leading aerospace companies. Estimated starting salary: $49,000 annually.


To apply, students and parents should:

1. Complete the Interest Form Below – Select your student’s pathway of interest so GTCC staff can reach out with reminders and resources as the January 12 application date approaches.

2. Complete the GTCC Application (Career & College Promise)

3. Request an Official High School Transcript

4. Submit a Signed Verification Form (completed with your high school counselor or Career Development Coordinator)
